The Butterscotch Bakery was founded by me, Rachel, in 2013 after having being a dream of mine for many years. We started from a kitchen unit and now have our own Butterscotch Bakery tearoom and cake shop on Hyndland Road in Glasgow. We offer wedding cakes and celebration cakes, birthday cakes, cupcakes and sweet treats for all the family. Since we opened we have won 6 awards for our cakes, including Silver at Cake International and Second in the Novelty Cake category at The Scottish Baking Awards. All of which we are so proud of.
I've always loved cakes and sweet treats, this really fuels my passion for baking and creating beautiful cakes. I especially love making celebration cakes and novelty cakes, one of my favourite cakes is the Bagpipes cake in the photo. It is always so heart-warming when someone gets so excited when they see their cake, it's a fabulous moment. With that in mind we always make sure that every cake looks fabulous and tastes truly delicious. By using high quality, free-range, local, fairtrade ingredients we can almost always guarantee a delicious flavour and texture every time. Fresh cakes are also a huge passion of mine and we ensure that every order is baked the day that it is to be delivered. This ensures the highest quality and the freshest product, every time.
